Well Pleased We Dream is a street art blog founded by T.K. Mills. The focus of the site is to profile artists, curators, galleries, and other elements of street art & street culture to develop a comprehensive understanding for both the mainstream and the underground.

T.K. has previously written for art magazines such as Sold Mag and Global Street Art, as well as running the art column on Openletr for several months. T.K. also writes about non-art things — his full writing portfolio can be found at tkmills.com.

The ambition is to spend several years researching street art, which will one day culminate into a book. Well Pleased We Dream is the predecessor to that book.

Art – Herman Melville

In placid hours well-pleased we dream

Of many a brave unbodied scheme.

But form to lend, pulsed life create,

What unlike things must meet and mate:

A flame to melt—a wind to freeze;

Sad patience—joyous energies;

Humility—yet pride and scorn;

Instinct and study; love and hate;

Audacity—reverence. These must mate,

And fuse with Jacob’s mystic heart,

To wrestle with the angel—Art.
